Beauty bags and edit boxes are easy ways to test out premium products for a fraction of their usual cost, and based on the brands included, the latest drop from LookFantastic is one of the best I’ve seen this season.
Called The Skin Renewal Edit, it's a curated kit that brings together seven skincare products—the brand says they are worth over £210—now available for £45. The kit is skincare-focused, including a mix of hydrating, resurfacing, and firming formulas—precisely the kind of multitasking products many of us reach for when our skin is feeling dull, dehydrated, or in need of a reset.
The Skin Renewal bag is part of LookFantastic's Solutions Edit, a collection of four skincare and haircare kits built around real-life concerns like dryness, breakouts, and thinning hair. Each kit focuses on a specific goal and includes a mix of full-size staples and travel-sized minis from well-known brands.
The Skin Renewal Edit includes three full-sized products alongside deluxe minis - useful for anyone topping up their skincare travel kit or wanting to trial before committing to full price. It’s already proving popular. Early reviews on LookFantastic’s website are almost unanimously five stars, with one shopper writing: “Great value for money and a fantastic mix of products that really complement each other.”
I also received the skincare edit and was particularly pleased with the list of big brand names included.
One of the most notable names in the bag is Medik8’s Crystal Retinal 6, a cult favourite with beauty insiders for its stabilised form of Vitamin A. The product is designed to support skin renewal, even tone and help soften fine lines. When I first started using Medki8, this is the product I initially reached for, and I always recommend this as a gentle entry point into higher-strength retinoids. I feel it gives visible results without niggly irritation. This is a deluxe mini (4ml), but still enough for a couple of weeks' use if used a few times a week, as advised.
Another standout name included is the Dr Loretta Intense Replenishing Serum, which comes in full size (30ml) and usually retails for around £75 on its own. It contains ceramides to help strengthen the skin barrier and lock in moisture, which is especially useful if your skin is prone to dryness or sensitivity.
The Clinique All About Eyes Serum is another full-size product, and comes with a metal rollerball applicator to help cool and depuff the under-eye area. Caffeine and antioxidants are listed among its ingredients, and the brand says it’s designed to be used morning or evening and layers easily under eye cream or concealer.
You’ll also find a generous full-size (200ml) bottle of the Ameliorate Resurfacing Facial Toner, which claims to gently exfoliate for smoother skin texture and brightness. Though this brand is better known for body care, its facial line has a loyal following, particularly among those with dry or uneven skin.
Other travel-size products include a 20ml bottle of CeraVe’s Hydrating Cleanser, a no-fuss, non-foaming wash that’s a solid choice for sensitive skin, and a 15ml Elemis Pro-Collagen Overnight Matrix. The brand says it's designed to firm and hydrate overnight so that you awake with calmer skin.
For the final step, there’s a mini Lancôme Génifique Ultimate—Dual Repair Augmented Serum, a clever product that claims to reduce the appearance of redness, fine lines, and texture. I have used it, and although not a miracle worker, I'm pleasantly surprised at the results.
