Baking bread can be a daunting prospect, an exact science that needs precise measurements and a lot of patience. However, one recipe content creator has revealed you only need a handful of minutes and just two ingredients to do the job.
So if you’re a baking novice that’s scared to take the plunge, journalist and creator Laura’s (@cakeontherun) recipe doesn’t require kneading or proving time. You can rustle up a mini loaf with two ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. In a post from May 2024, she revealed this simple recipe can also be made in a much-loved appliance.
If you’re strapped for time, Laura explained that this mini loaf can be baked in the air fryer. You can also make the bread gluten free.
Laura explained that to make a gluten free bread loaf, use gluten free bread and a third of a teaspoon of xanthan gum.
One person commented: “I have to try it.”
Samuel wrote: “Thanks, so simple! Could you recommend cooking it in the microwave, in order to save fuel costs? Cheers.”
So if you’re new to bread baking and want to try out a simple, speedy recipe, this is what you’ll need to do.
Ingredients
Method
Mix flour and yoghurt in a bowl to make a dough.
Flour your hands, make a dough ball, knead and then roughly create a loaf/wide sausage shape using your hands. It should not be too sticky.
Air fry the bread on air fry mode on 200℃ for five minutes. Laura pointed out that air fryers can vary, so if the loaf is still a bit doughy, bake for a few more minutes.
If you haven’t got an air fryer, oven bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Eat straight away.
