Amazon's Prime Day sales extravaganza comes to an end tomorrow, Friday, July 11. It means shoppers have just a few hours left to grab some deals before items go back to full price.

There are price cuts across a wide range of departments, including technology. Consumer journalist Nisha Mal has compiled some of the top deals on Smart TVs from leading brands such as Samsung, Hisense, and Toshiba, as well as an offering from Amazon itself.

Before delving into the TV deals on offer at Amazon, it's worth highlighting some offers from competing retailers. At Argos, shoppers can purchase a TCL 55-inch Smart 4K TV for £259, down from £289.

TLC describes this model as the 'best companion to enjoy any HDR movies, games, sports and entertainment'. It comes equipped with Google TV and the AI feature Google Assistant.

Meanwhile, Currys is offering an LG 50-inch LED TV for £279. Its 'High Dynamic Range' feature provides more accurate colours, enhanced brightness levels and deeper contrast, reports The Mirror.

Here are some of the best TV discounts on Amazon as part of its Prime Day promotions:

First up in the deals is a Hisense 55-inch 4K QLED Smart TV, was £699 now £312. It has clever AI features, including Sports Mode, AI Picture, and AI Adaptive Depth. It comes equipped with Alexa for voice control, a voice-controlled remote, and a variety of apps like Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV, Disney+, Paramount Plus, NOW TV, and more—though subscription charges do apply.

A five-star review says it is a 'really nice TV', continuing: "Lots of apps support - built-in Wi-Fi enabled Freeview app means no need to connect to an aerial. The sound quality is crisp and clear with no distortion at higher sounds. Picture quality is excellent with good viewing angles. Brightness can be adjusted to your preference so no issues there."

However, another customer expressed disappointment over the app selection, stating: "It's Good quality, but it doesn't have Spotify or Discovery Plus as apps, which is disappointing."

Yet another customer added: "Excellent TV for the price and fantastic for gaming due to its VRR and QLED image. Pair it with a good Atmos soundbar, and you've got a good package. Just get it insured as QLED TVs backlights sometimes go."

Amazon has also reduced the cost of a Toshiba 32-inch Fire TV, discounting it from £135 to just £129. It's garnering positive feedback on Amazon, mainly because of its cost-effectiveness.

It boasts features like 'Dolby Audio Processing' to amp up the home cinema vibe and an in-built Fire TV that corrals streaming services including Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Apple TV (subscription charges applicable). The 'HD Ready' specification is another plus, refining the sharpness and nuances of the display.

One customer remarked: "Just the job, perfect fast delivery." Another wrote: "Value for money, looks good."

However, there are some criticisms, like one from a purchaser who encountered technical troubles: "Nice looking TV. At first, it seemed very easy to set up and connect to my satellite TV subscription, as well as all terrestrial channels. After a few days, I lost everything, and it has taken two months to get things working again. It needs to be easier than this."

Another Amazon discount is this Samsung 75-inch Smart TV, initially priced at £599 but now reduced to £569. This LED 4K TV integrates dual LED technology to deliver true-to-life hues and stark contrasts. The integrated Smart and Gaming Hub makes it simple to access preferred smart TV and gaming apps.

It's a hit among gamers since it allows playing the newest games from services like Xbox, Blacknut, Nvidia, etc., without needing a console. One reviewer awarded it a top rating: "Excellent value for money from Samsung. It meets all my wants and needs for a TV. It's good quality, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it."

One buyer gave a three-star rating, stating a mixed experience: "Rather cumbersome and not very clear image. Sounds is great. The navigation on the start panel is overcomplicated to use every time switching apps."

Conversely, another customer lauded the picture quality: "Really good, clear, and crisp picture, well worth the price. Very happy with the product."

Lastly, shoppers can buy an Amazon 32-inch Fire TV (Newest gen), slashed from £249.99 down to  £169.99.  This Fire TV offers seamless access to live channels, video games, and music alike. With subscriptions to services like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and others( where fees apply), viewers have over 100,000 films and series at their fingertips.

The device enables streaming of complimentary film and TV episodes via YouTube, Pluto TV, Tubi, among others. Additionally, the Fire TV keeps expanding its repertoire with new Alexa capabilities, smart home integration, voice features, and more.

A pleased purchaser commented on the value: "Brilliant value, great picture and sound. Very easy user interface, worth every penny,".

One person described their contentment tempered with critique: "Pretty good for the price," while adding, "My only issue is that some programs or channels seem to take a while to show, particularly with the live channels like BBC or ITV etc. Other than that, I am quite pleased with TV."

An additional reviewer praised the Amazon TV: "Amazon TV, great picture, easy controls, and a reasonable price."
