Wimbledon LIVE: Emma Raducanu put in her place by rival as Novak Djokovic 'feels guilty' | Tennis | Sport![]() Hubert Hurkacz has withdrawn from Wimbledon. The man who once defeated Roger Federer on Centre Court has decided to skip the tournament to continue his recovery from surgery. "Not an easy post to write," he said on Instagram. "Together with my team, I've made the decision to withdraw from this year’s Wimbledon. During preparations, my body reacted - synovial membrane irritation, which is part of the recovery process from my surgery. "It needs rest and treatment, and I need to listen to my body. Thank you for all the love and support - it means the world. I'll be back soon." Hurkacz's withdrawal came hours after the draw was made on Friday, meaning he still banks half of the prize money available for a first round match. The Poland star will therefore take home £33k, with a lucky loser facing British player Billy Harris. Source link Posted: 2025-06-28 09:21:00 |
