Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make major hires in fresh shakeup with Bill Gates ally | Royal | News

Meghan Markle hired a new senior adviser to oversee her career who used to work for business magnate Bill Gates, reports have claimed. The Duchess of Sussex has appointed Sarah Fosmo, 45, as her first chief of staff, according to The Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has promoted Lianne Cashin, a former executive assistant and Archewell’s head of operations, to a "senior consultant" after his last chief of staff, Josh Kettler, quit just three months into his new job. A source told the outlet: "Sarah and Lianne exemplify the strength and vision driving the Duke and Duchess forward."

Meghan Markle is currently promoting her latest business ventures that she launched this year, which include her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, her brand, As Ever, and her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder.

Ms Fosmo has previously worked for Gates Ventures, Mr Gates’ private office, in executive administration for six years.

She also worked for seven years for Tony Robbins, an American motivational speaker, as a senior executive assistant.

Ms Cashin previously worked at Archewell Productions shortly after its inception, and is understood to have climbed her way up to an executive assistant and head of operations before being promoted to a consultant.

She also worked as a personal assistant to Shaun White, a professional snowboarder

A source close to the Sussex couple said they considered themselves fortunate to have two "exceptional leaders" in Ms Fosmo and Ms Cashin.

They added: "Sarah, our proud senior hire as chief of staff for the Duchess of Sussex, brings a wealth of experience perfectly suited to guide the Sussexes’ ambitious ventures, including a new business, podcast, and television project.

Regarding Ms Cashin, they praised her for providing "deep operational insight for key projects".

It comes after various claims against the Sussexes regarding their staff's tenure and their "apparent inability to attract and retain the right staff".
