Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer has given a major update on the future of the popular classic car restoration series. Mike has previously revealed that the team are working on a new series of the show set to air in 2025.

However, the TV host has now clarified what will come out and when viewers may expect new episodes on their screens. The popular motoring presenter stressed that two series will air, with an expected release date scheduled for later this summer. The revelation came in a social media exchange posted on X earlier this week.

A social media user asked: “Hi Mike, is there a new series on the way.”

Posting on social media site X, Mike replied: “Yes 2 new series coming August.”

The news was welcomed by fans of the show who were quick to praise Mike and co-host Marc Priestley for the coverage.

@savage_golfer commented: “2, we are being spoilt.”

@Nev_or_never added: “Mike, it's a great show. You're a great host. I know a lot of people try to put you down. Heads up, you're doing great!”

It is understood that one series will be a traditional UK-based Wheeler Dealers show, with the last set of programmes running at the end of 2023.

Meanwhile, a sequel to last year’s successful Wheeler Dealers World Tour is also in the pipeline.

Last week, Mike confirmed that filming for the World Tour had already begun as he posted a shot of himself on a plane heading to Spain.

Mike posted: “Off to catch up with @f1elvis in Barcelona from Bilbao .. been a hectic few days for #wheelerdealers #worldtour2."

Days later, Mike posted a picture on X of him and the production team sweltering in the heat while working in a garage on the continent.

He wrote: “I have fans.. well a team anyway.. it’s 40c hot here in Spain and the workshop is roasting.. so the guys help cool me down.”

The news means that Spain is confirmed to feature on the new series of Wheeler Dealers World Tour, with filming also taking place in Germany. But other countries the duo will visit have yet to be released.

He previously stressed there were plans to visit Latin America, where the show is very popular.

He told The Road to Success podcast: “Put it this way, we’re coming down to Latin America, we’re going all across Europe, and we’re touching the edge of Europe as well. I can’t wait, that's going to be good.”
