'Superb' Shark Klik n Flip steam mop has a heavy discount

If you’re in the mood for spring cleaning, then steam mopping is a great way to clean hard floors. A steam mop makes it easy to bring a shine back to tiles or stone floors, removing grime without the need for harsh cleaners. Best of all, it’s fast, with no need for scrubbing.

The Shark Klik n Flip is a great steam mop, with shoppers raving about its performance. Best of all, it’s discounted, saving you plenty of cash in the process. There’s £40 off the price direct from Shark, as well as at Lakeland, meaning you can pick up this £139 mop for £99.

The beauty of this steam mop is the Klik n Flip action that it offers. There’s a water reservoir to fill and once plugged in, it will quickly heat up to start producing steam. That’s directed through to the mop pad at the bottom. When one side gets dirty, you can flip it over and keep cleaning with the other side.

Best of all, when you find a stubborn patch of dirt, you can flip the head and blast that area with a jet of steam to loosen the grime before mopping it up.

To change the washable mop pad (there are two in the box), you just have to press the button to release, before slotting the mop into the new pad and clicking it into place – you don’t have to touch it. Then you wash the dirty pad ready for your next cleaning job.

But wait, you think £99 for a steam mop is too much? Then there’s a cheaper option from Shark, which is discounted to £75 on Amazon right now – and £4 cheaper than Shark’s own sale.

This model of the Shark Klik n Flip isn’t automatic, so it just has one steam setting whereas the more expensive model has three steam settings so you can control the power, which means you can use more power on dirty tiles and perhaps the low setting on sealed laminate floors (but be sure to check the details to make sure you don’t damage laminates).

I have a Shark steam mop and it’s been a game changer for cleaning my kitchen and hallway tiles. I have two kids and a dog spreading muck through the house constantly and using the steam mop to clean up is so much faster and easier than using a mop and bucket.

If friends are calling around, I can zoom over the floors with the Shark cleaner, which leaves floors clean and dry almost immediately.  Best of all, when finished, you just put the mop pad in the wash and put the mop away, which is better than emptying a bucket of dirty water and having to wait for the floors to dry.

But don’t just take my word for it, the customer reviews for the Shark Klik n Flip speak for themselves: “Excellent value and superb performance” says one Amazon shopper. “It is effortless to use, floor cleaning has never been easier and with great results”. Another said: “Thought I was clean, but after using this mop. Goodness me it is clean now. Very impressive.”

Shark isn’t the only brand making steam mops and as a premium brand you can get cheaper elsewhere if you’re happy to accept slightly more basic functions. The Vax Steam Clean Multifunction Steam Mop is discounted to £48 in the spring sales.

The downside is that you’re paying quite a lot for cleaning and it’s true that a mop, bucket and a bit of elbow grease will achieve the same results. If that’s what you want, then this Vileda mop and bucket set can be yours for £15.
