There is nothing quite like slipping into a freshly made bed with crisp white sheets and soft, plump pillows.

However, getting into your bed at home and sliding into a luxurious hotel bed never feels the same.

Even if you spend hundreds of pounds on Egyptian cotton sheets, silk pillowcases and memory foam mattress toppers, most people struggle to replicate that luxurious hotel feel.

Now, a member of the housekeeping team at DoubleTree by Hilton in Leeds has shared exactly how to make your bed "look and feel like you're in a hotel" in a video on TikTok.

The video caption reads: "How to make your bed feel like you’re in a hotel?

"Well, watch and learn… Daria from our Housekeeping team will show you how."

Daria began by tightly putting on the mattress protector and then the bed linen. Next, she added the bed sheets, making sure they were spread evenly across the bed.

Then, Daria folded the corners of the sheets and tucked them under the mattress. When it comes to tucking the sheets under, the expert said, "more is more".

This gives the bed a neat, clean finish, making it look luxurious and tidy. Daria made sure no loose sheets were sticking out of the bed.

Lastly, she put the pillowcases on the pillows and positioned them in two rows of two for a total of four pillows.

She made sure the pillowcases were tucked in so there was no material overhanging from the pillow.

The video received positive comments from fans, with one person saying, "That’s a skill, and you've got to be super fit."
