Manhunt as 'violent' man who's 'risk to women' escapes care home | UK | NewsThe Metropolitan Police have issued an urgent appeal for information regarding a 44 year old man, Balasankar Narayanan, who escaped from a care facility in Ilford earlier this week. Narayanan was last seen at 6.40pm on Sunday, August 4, fleeing from staff during escorted leave at a north London park. Described as a potential risk to women and capable of violence, the public has been advised not to approach him but to dial 999 immediately upon sighting. He is known to have connections in Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate, Ilford, and other areas including the West Midlands. A spokesperson for the Met Police stated: "Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a man who absconded while on escorted leave from a care facility in Ilford. Balasankar Narayanan, 44 was last seen at 18:40hrs on Sunday, 4 August when he ran off from staff at a park." They continued: "While our investigation to locate Balasankar continues, we are appealing to the public to help locate him. He can be violent and is considered a risk to women if you see him please don't approach him, but call police immediately."
