This year alone has brought more than a few films to be remembered for years, not to mention the number of blockbuster movies we have seen hitting our screens. However, with the good must come the bad, and not every film can be a cinematic masterpiece.

We take a look back at the lowest-scoring films of recent years, garnering an embarassing 0 per cent score from movie reviewing platform, Rotten Tomatoes. From action crime thriller flops to an animated film inspired by the Queen's corgis, this list is looking like an interesting one. Here are the 10 worst of the worst films of recent years:

Precious Cargo (2016)

Starring Bruce Willis, Precious Cargo is a Canadian action film that was directed by Max Adams and written by Adams and Paul V. Seetachitt. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Claire Forlani, John Brotherton, Lydia Hull, and Daniel Bernhardt star alongside Willis to tell the story of a seductive thief who recruits an ex-lover (Gosselaar) to steal rare and valuable gems with the hopes of getting back in the good graces of her murderous boss (Willis).

Stratton (2017)

This is a British action thriller film directed by Simon West and based on the novel series of the same name by Duncan Falconer. Dominic Cooper plays the lead, while the rest of the cast includes Gemma Chan, Austin Stowell, Tyler Hoechlin, and Tom Felton. The film's synopsis reads: "After the death of his American counterpart, an MI6 agent and his team must race against time to stop a madman from unleashing stolen chemical weapons."

Gotti (2018)

This American biographical crime film about New York City mobster John Gotti, was directed by Kevin Connolly and written by Lem Dobbs and Leo Rossi. It stars John Travolta alongside his real-life wife Kelly Preston in her penultimate film. Gotti's synopsis reads: "Raised on the streets of New York, young John Gotti found his way into the Gambino crime family, eventually having the boss removed and becoming head of the powerful family. His wife asked only one thing from John: to never expose their children to his profession. But he broke the vow, and John Jr. took his place as his father's Capo."

London Fields (2018)

London Fields is a mystery thriller film directed by Mathew Cullen from a screenplay by Roberta Hanley and Martin Amis, and based on the 1989 novel of the same name by Amis. The film stars Billy Bob Thornton as Samson Young, a terminally ill writer who has suffered from writer's block for more than 20 years. The starry cast also includes Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Jason Isaacs, Cara Delevingne, Obi Abili, and Jaimie Alexander.

The Queen's Corgi (2019)

The Queen's Corgi is an English-language Belgian animated comedy film produced by Wave Pictures. It was written by John R. Smith and Rob Sprackling. The film was inspired by Queen Elizabeth II and her pet corgis, with the story following a corgi named Rex, who gets lost and then attempts to find his way home. Despite being panned by the critics, the film was profitable and somewhat of a comercial success.

John Henry (2020)

American thriller drama film, John Henry, starrs Terry Crews and Ludacris. It was directed by Will Forbes and inspired by the folk lore of John Henry. The plot follows "an ex-gang member from Los Angeles who must help two immigrant children who are on the run from his former crime boss".

The Last Days of American Crime (2020)

The Last Days of American Crime is an American action thriller film directed by Olivier Megaton from a screenplay by Karl Gajdusek, and based on the 2009 comic by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini. It stars Édgar Ramírez, Anna Brewster, Michael Pitt, Patrick Bergin, and Sharlto Copley. The film's release coincided with the George Floyd protests and depicted violent content and police brutality.

Hard Kill (2020)

Hard Kill is another American action thriller film directed by Matt Eskandari, starring Jesse Metcalfe, Bruce Willis, Natalie Eva Marie, Lala Kent, Texas Battle, Swen Temmel, Sergio Rizzulto, Tyler Jon Olson, and Jon Galanis. The film's synopsis reads: "A team of mercenaries find themselves in a race against time to stop a terrorist from using a computer program to destroy the world."

Armor (2024)

Armor is an American action thriller film directed by Justin Routt and starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Patric, Josh Wiggins, and Dash Mihok. It tells the story of an armored truck security guard who as he is working with his son Casey, unknowingly transports millions of dollars in gold. They then get themselves in a face off with a group of theives.

Alarum (2025)

Another film starring Stallone, Alarum is a American action crime thriller film directed by Michael Polish and starring Scott Eastwood, Mike Colter, Willa Fitzgerald, Ísis Valverde, and D. W. Moffett, alongisde Stallone. The film's synopsis reads: "Joe and Lara who were once rivals, fall in love during a mission and decide to go rogue to get married. They manage to escape their respective agencies and establish a quiet life, but their peace is shattered when a plane crash near their cabin reveals a hard drive that several organizations want."
