Services to and from Manchester Victoria are facing disruption after a bus crashed into a bridge during the morning of July 22. The collision happened in Ten Acres Lane, in Newton Heath, with pictures from the scene seemingly showing a Metroline Manchester driver training bus wedged underneath the bridge.

The crash, involving a Metroline Manchester driver training bus, is believed to have occurred some time before 8.30am, Manchester Evening News reports.

In an update National Rail said an inspection found no damage to the bridge, and all lines have now reopened, though disruption is expected to continue.

A service disruption page on its website currently says "residual disruption" between Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge is expected to continue until noon.
