Daniel Dubois has tipped the scales 16lbs heavier than Oleksandr Usyk ahead of their eagerly anticipated rematch on Saturday night. The pair are set to go head-to-head in what is expected to be a historic Wembley showdown, with over 90,000 fans in attendance. The stakes are high for both fighters - the undisputed heavyweight title is up for grabs.

Usyk will be aiming to secure the prestigious title for the second time since moving up from cruiserweight. Meanwhile, Dubois, the British contender, is keen to claim the coveted title for the first time in his career and become the first British heavyweight to win the undisputed belt since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Usyk enters the fight with an advantage, having won their first bout in 2023 with a brutal ninth-round knockout.

The match was not without controversy, as 'Triple D' believed he had floored the Ukrainian in the fifth round, but it was ultimately ruled a low blow.

However, before they can face off again, they must first tackle the initial challenge of the weigh-in. Dubois weighed in at 243.8lb, while Usyk registered 227.3lb.

For comparison, when they first fought two years ago, Usyk weighed in at 220.9lb, while 'Triple D' came in at 233.2lb.

The former undisputed cruiserweight champion has come in notably lighter than his forthcoming rival. Dubois has vowed to "nail Usyk to the canvas" in their upcoming bout, hinting at a strategy to dominate the Ukrainian with superior size and power.

Recent images released prior to the official weigh-in suggest that Dubois is opting for a bulkier physique. Over recent years, he has packed on considerable mass, usually weighing in around the 250lb mark.

In his previous fight against Anthony Joshua, the British heavyweight hit a personal record of 248lbs on the scales.

Post-weigh-in, both fighters were concise yet exuded readiness. "I am locked in and focused... I cannot wait!" declared Dubois.

When pressed for a prediction, the 27-year-old stated, "I am going to win by any means necessary."

Usyk, on the other hand, was equally brief, expressing: "For me it is a great opportunity... for my people and my country. Thank you for Jesus Christ. See you tomorrow!"

He also played down any suggestion that he was an old fighter, hitting back: "I respect this young guy. He is motivated but I am too. I am not old guy. 38 is not old. We will see. It's Saturday."

Dubois has previously been labelled a quitter, notably when he took a knee against Joe Joyce and didn't beat the count in his first encounter with Usyk. Usyk's camp remains confident that Dubois will succumb to pressure again.

"It is the same guy. What can he change in a couple of years? You cannot train your mind and that is what I think his weaknesses are," remarked Usyk's manager Egis Klimas.

Frank Warren, Dubois' promoter, has confidently responded to team Usyk's assertions, declaring: "We will see on Saturday. He certainly trained his mind against (Jarrell) Miller, he certainly trained his mind against (Filip) Hrgovic and he certainly trained his mind against 'AJ'... in a big way. And he has got better and better and he has shown his power. His power, I mean he knows he can hurt Mr Usyk. He knows that. He has felt the power and he is a much better fighter from two and a half years ago."

The British heavyweight himself weighed in with confidence, adding: "He's making the mistake of believing I'm still the same boy he beat in our first fight two and a half years ago. Wrong. I'm in my prime now. Right now, I just want to get it on. I'm going to write my own script. I'm going to win these belts. I'm going to be the man."
