Donkey Kong Bananza is out, and after more than a month of few releases for the Nintendo Switch 2, the game has received absolutely exceeding praise.
At the time of writing, Metacritic has the score at 91/100, with tons of 9/10s from review sites, meaning it's definitely worth picking up. For those Nintendo fans, we all know just how expensive first-party Switch games can be - but we have a way for shoppers to get the game for the cheapest price around.
Argos is currently selling the game for £64.99, in line with Amazon's price of £64.95, but there's a way to knock that price down to slightly less than £50 - the cheapest price shoppers can get it right now.
That's thanks to TopCashback, which will allow shoppers to take £15 off the price at Argos and earn a percentage of cashback on top of that. We're here to explain step-by-step how to get the game for less, as we break down the deal below.
In total, new members of TopCashback and new customers of Argos will pay £49.18, but existing customers of Argos will pay a couple of pennies more at £49.45.
Express Gaming Editor Liam Martin, recently rated Donkey Kong Banaza as a top Nintendo Switch 2 game, comparing its features alongside other first-party games that launched in 2025. Including Drag X Drive, Mario Kart World, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom - many of which are available to get from the Nintendo Store, here.
Comparing to other Mario games Liam said: "If Mario games are about smooth platforming and the joys of movement, Donkey Kong Bananza is about the thrill of smashing things until they break.
"You can also rip up huge rocks and throw them at enemies, or use those same rocks to surf down hills and gather speed. Combining these abilities and mastering Donkey Kong's different skills leads to a gameplay experience that's maybe not as fluid as Mario."
