Bukayo Saka brutally snubs Sky Sports F1 host at Spanish Grand Prix | F1 | Sport

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka brutally shut down Sky Sports F1 host Simon Lazenby when he tried to interview the England footballer during his grid walk before the Spanish Grand Prix. Lazenby was successfully able to catch up with Harry Kane and Dan Burn, but Saka made it clear that he did not want to be spoken to in Barcelona.

National team boss Thomas Tuchel had taken the entire squad to Spain to watch the race in a team bonding session. Players were reserved places on the grid to get up close and personal with drivers and their cars. These famous faces are often spoken to on the grid by Martin Brundle or, in this case, one of his Sky colleagues.

Lazenby moved on from Kane to Saka and asked the Gunners man who he was supporting in the race, but Saka replied, "Not much to say" and awkwardly tried to brush off any conversation.

Nico Rosberg, who had been conducting the grid walk with Lazenby in Brundle's absence, later commented, "Not very friendly was it?" regarding the chat with Saka.

Kane, meanwhile, was more than happy to chat and named Lando Norris, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton as the three drivers he was rooting for at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

"I’m looking forward to the race," he said. "This is the first grand prix I’ve been to. I’m looking forward to it. I watch the F1 as much as I can. A few of the English guys doing well this season, so I’m looking forward to seeing them."

"I love Lando. He’s been doing great this year and obviously has a great chance of winning the championship. So, I hope he’s going to get himself in front today. Then, of course, George and Lewis [Hamilton] as well – it would be good to see them all on the podium."

He was then asked by Bayern Munich fan Rosberg what advice he would give to Norris, who the German pundit believes has struggled mentally at times this season.

Kane replied: "For him, it’s all about preparation. I’m sure he’s prepared to the best of his ability, and then it’s just going out there and being free. He knows he can do it, he’s won enough already, so hopefully he can go all the way."

Newcastle defender Burn added: "It's very hot! I'm excited, it's the first time I've been to an F1 race. I'm hoping for a McLaren one-two and I'm supporting Lando."

He also previewed England's upcoming match with Andorra next Saturday, saying: "They are all tough games. Another World Cup qualifier."
