Paramount Plus has recently added a horror titles that's been hailed as one of the best sequels ever made to a 'masterpiece' of the genre.

A Quiet Place Part II is the latest addition to the streaming service's catalogue, marking the availability of the entire sci-fi horror series on one platform.

This includes the original film, its sequel, and the prequel spin-off titled Day One.

Although the 2021 release was previously accessible on other platforms such as Sky Cinema and Channel 4 for a limited period, it now resides exclusively on Paramount.

Fans can stream it either through the dedicated app or via an add-on subscription on Amazon Prime Video.

The film is the second chapter in the series featuring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Krasinski reprised his role behind the camera, directing the sequel after his successful stint with the original.

Known for his portrayal of Jim Halpert in the US Office, he also wrote the script solo, having shared writing credits with Scott Beck and Bryan Woods for the first film, reports Surrey Live.

While employing flashbacks, the narrative continues from where the first film left off, set in a post-apocalyptic world. Regan (Blunt) and her family discover that their alien adversaries can be vanquished using high-frequency audio.

Armed with this newfound knowledge, they embark on a quest to find other survivors.

Joining the cast are notable actors Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou. The film garnered a commendable rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, matching the acclaim of its predecessor.

The sequel has garnered high praise from both critics and audiences, with one reviewer exclaiming: "one of the best sequels ever created."

Another critic lauded: "John Krasinski crafts a masterclass in suspense with Hitchcockian anxiety that would make the master proud."

Echoing the sentiment, a fan took to social media to proclaim: "A masterclass in suspense. A Quiet Place II is hands down one of the most thrilling and bone-chilling films that I have ever seen.
