Caitlin Clark has scary message for WNBA rivals after blitzing Angel Reese | NBA | Sport

Caitlin Clark had a scary warning for her WNBA rivals after helping the Indiana Fever to a big win over the Chicago Sky. The match saw Clark go up against Angel Reese in a clash of the titans, with the former having the last laugh. She was a standout performer for her team as the Fever cruised to an impressive 93-58 victory.

The result helped them to lay down an early marker by winning their first match of the new WNBA campaign. Clark, heading into her second season after being named Rookie of the Year in 2024, scored 20 points along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Afterwards, she warned her rivals that she will only keep improving as she continues to develop her game.

"I think just keep getting better every single night, continue to set my teammates up," said Clark. "I know we put up 93 points and won by 30, but I felt like we could still could have been a lot better, so we go back to work.

"We have hard games coming up. That's the thing about this league. You have a couple of days. It's on to the next, on to the next. So how do we keep getting better?"

At one point during the match, Clark was involved in a furious bust-up with Reese after appearing to intentionally foul her. Reese reacted furiously and was held back by team-mates as she lunged towards Clark before launching an X-rated tirade.

"You crazy as f***," screamed Reese in a rant which was picked up on the live TV broadcast. As Clark turned her back on Reese, she added: "What the f*** is wrong with you?"

Reflecting on the heated incident, Clark described it as 'just a good take foul' and said: "Either Angel gets wide open two points, or we send them to the free throw line. Nothing malicious about it. Every basketball player knows that.”

Clark and Reese have clashed in previous meetings between the Fever and the Sky, committing a string of fouls against each other last season. They also shared an intense rivalry during their college careers before it spilled over into the WNBA.

It remains to be seen if the Fever will maintain their winning form heading into their next two matches, a double-header against the Atlanta Dream. Meanwhile, the Sky will face New York Liberty before coming up against the Los Angeles Sparks.
