Popular Beats headphones slashed in price for 24 hours but that’s not all

Buying the latest and greatest technology can be a daunting affair when you check the foot of the bill. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, headphones and everything else we need to keep connected in this day and age can cause more than a little strain to the wallet when it’s time to upgrade.

That’s why it’s best to be on the lookout for a deal if there’s something specific you want to buy, and now one major UK tech firm is offering you twelve chances per year to save big on popular tech items.

Starting tomorrow, April 17, 2025, mobile network and broadband provider EE is launching its first ever Tech Drop, a new monthly offer on one item that’s set to last for 24 hours only, or while stocks last.

The first item on sale tomorrow is the Beats Studio Pro headphones, which will be available on a first-come-first-served basis for just £149, a huge saving of £200.99 on the £349.99 RRP.

EE said there will be “a limited amount of stock”, so the Beats will be sold at this price until the stock sells out or when the 24 hour window closes.

“EE’s monthly Tech Drops discounts will be available to both EE and non-EE customers via the EE App,” EE said. “Select existing EE mobile and home broadband customers will be alerted up to 24 hours before each drop.”

EE confirmed to Express.co.uk that EE mobile and broadband customers can’t get any sort of early access to these deals, they will simply be alerted directly by the company 24 hours before all future Tech Drops.

It means even if you aren’t an EE customer you can simply download the EE App and access this Beats deal tomorrow, as well as all future Tech Drops.

“As part of our mission to offer customers access to the best tech, we’re excited to unveil our new monthly Tech Drops initiative,” said Sam Kemp, Director of Gaming and Consumer Electronics at EE.

“Launching this week, our first EE Tech Drop will give thousands of people the chance to make huge savings on one of the hottest pieces of tech on the market – but they must be quick as the deals only runs for a limited time period. All customers need to do is download the EE App and look out for the next Tech Drop.”

Express.co.uk reviewed the Beats Studio Pro when they first launched in 2023.

“If you splash the cash you won't be disappointed by just how good they sound,” said technology editor Dave Snelling at the time. Given these headphones will be £200 cheaper than their RRP, this could be a sound (ha!) investment.
