Jude Bellingham 'in training bust-up' and separated from team-mate | Football | Sport

Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger reportedly had to be separated after a clash in training just days before their Champions League quarter-final second leg with Arsenal. Los Blancos are preparing for their biggest game of the season, one that could decide Carlo Ancelotti's fate as head coach, with tempers boiling over behind the scenes.

Madrid head into the game off the back of a 1-0 victory over Alaves, where Kylian Mbappe was sent off for a reckless tackle. But prior to the match, Bellingham and Rudiger clashed in training after a foul on the Englishman by Rudiger, which Bellingham did not take too kindly.

Spanish outlet El Chiringuito claim that a small-sided game had to be halted in order to separate Bellingham from the former Chelsea centre-back. They had to be pulled apart but both featured as Eduardo Camavinga got the only goal of the game away to Alaves.

He scored just four minutes before Mbappe's sending-off and Rudiger started the La Liga clash, while Bellingham was brought off the bench with Vinicius Jr in the 62nd minute.

The incident concerning both Bellingham and Rudiger is not being deemed as serious within the Madrid camp, however, and both are expected to start as they attempt to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Arsenal.

“We were nowhere near it,” Bellingham said after watching Declan Rice's two free-kicks and Mikel Merino's effort take the first leg. “That’s the fact and Arsenal were really good. I know two of their goals were free-kicks, but they could have had way more.

“There is a second leg, and that’s what we’re holding on to. We need something really special, something crazy really but one place where crazy things happen is our house.

“We’ve got 90 more minutes at home to pull something out of the bag. We’re still alive, we’ve got 90 mins of football and anything can happen at the Bernabeu.”

Bellingham doubled down in his message on social media, telling his Instagram followers to "believe" while writing: “See you Wednesday Madridistas.”

The midfielder's thoughts were echoed by Vinicius Jr, who said: “Already thinking about Wednesday!!! We’re ready and looking forward to it. We’ll see you at the Bernabeu and we’ll try everything. WE ARE REAL MADRID!!! HALAMADRID!”
