Amazon is currently selling the 128GB iPhone 16 for £698, a £101 saving on its £799 RRP. According to Amazon price checking website Camelcamelcamel, this is the lowest ever price the phone has sold for since its release in September 2024.

At the time of writing, this deal includes the teal, black and white models of the iPhone 16.

Amazon is listing this discount as a "Limited time deal", but does not disclose when the special price will end. Luckily, you don't need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber to take advantage of the deal, but you might want to act now as we don't know how long it'll be at this price for.

Other popular UK retailers Argos and Currys are also selling the iPhone 16 at a discount, though their £699 price tags are pipped by £1 by Amazon’s £698. However, both those sellers have all five colours of the phone in stock, including the ultramarine and pink hues.

Argos’s listing for the phone says the deal is ‘in demand’ and ‘popular’, the retailer’s indication that the product is selling well. If you want the lovely ultramarine colour iPhone 16 at a discount, this is the deal to go for.

The iPhone 16 is a very capable smartphone that Apple sells alongside the pricier iPhone 16 Pro and the more recently launched iPhone 16e, which costs £599. This deal on the iPhone 16 is notable as for just £99 more than the iPhone 16e you get several worthwhile upgrades.

The 16e has a notch design, only one camera, and no MagSafe compatibility. It also has slow wireless charging and bigger bezels around the edges of its screen than the iPhone 16.

In comparison, the regular iPhone 16 has the newer Dynamic Island design that’s a sort of floating notch that contains Face ID sensors, as well as two cameras on the back rather than one. It’s fully MagSafe compatible and charges up at 25W speeds wirelessly with the correct accessories.

Apple rarely discounts its latest iPhone, instead leaving the deals to trusted third-party retailers. This £101 saving on the iPhone 16 is very likely to be the cheapest you'll see this model at before the expected release of the iPhone 17 later this year. Apple has, for the last few years, gone on to sell the previous year's iPhone alongside the new model for £100 less.
