A lighthouse, famously transformed into the 'home' of Captain Birds Eye - complete with a freezer brimming with fish fingers - is now up for grabs in a new competition. The iconic seafarer's 'residence' has been unveiled as a towering 69-foot structure off the Norfolk coast, adorned with personal touches that narrate his maritime adventures. The brand's latest contest offers participants the unique opportunity to stay at this lighthouse, located just a few miles down the coast from its Lowestoft fish finger factory.

In a recent video, the captain provides a tour of his abode, offering a glimpse into what lucky winners can expect. This coastal haven, revealed as a 69-foot high structure off the Norfolk coast, is filled with personal artefacts that chronicle the captain's life at sea. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by his well-worn fisherman's waterproofs, a 'Gone Fishing' sign, and a surfboard nonchalantly propped against the wall.

Captain Birds Eye proudly showcases his lookout tower, his preferred spot for planning future voyages. Surrounded by nautical books, it boasts the best view in the house, providing an unobstructed panorama of the horizon. In the bedroom, his navy suit jackets and trademark hats are meticulously arranged, ever ready for whatever the sea might throw at him.

To sweeten the deal for potential winners, he unveils a freezer packed to the brim with frozen delicacies. Mike Sowerby from Birds Eye expressed: "Captain Birds Eye has been part of British family life for decades, and we're thrilled to bring his world to life like never before.

Since his introduction in 1967, Captain Birds Eye has become an enduring symbol, recognised for his naval attire, sparkling gaze, and affinity for the ocean.

While his image has evolved over time, he has consistently embodied an adventurous, family-centric ethos. The lighthouse was constructed 185 years ago and ceased functioning as a lighthouse in the 1920s.

The property comprises seven rooms, including two bedrooms. The competition offers a six-night stay for up to six guests as its grand prize.
