She said: “Fennel seed is the secret ingredient in my spaghetti sauce! You may think it's a bit strange, but fennel takes your spaghetti sauce to an authentic Italian level. Your guests will wonder what you put in it to make it sooo good, and it’s just fennel seeds! Trust me! If you are super apprehensive to add it, I’d say start by adding a quarter teaspoon and build it from there!” Instructions To begin, place the Italian sausage and ground beef in a large pan on medium heat. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat up while it is cooking, then cook it until it is fully browned. Next, add the chopped onion to the pan and cook for five minutes until tender. Then, add the crushed garlic and let it cook for one to two minutes.
