Sausages will be 'juicy and golden' if you follow one simple rule

There's nothing quite like sausages.

Whether served with mash, stuffed into a sandwich or playing the starring role in a hot dog - there are endless ways they can be enjoyed. None the less, they aren't always easy to cook.

Luckily, if you have an air fryer, the process may be about to get a lot simpler. According to Pinch Of Nom, they are easier than you think to cook in an air fryer.

And, once you know how to cook them, they should turn out "perfectly" every time. In a video shared on TikTok, people were told exactly what to do to achieve cooking success.

Before you start, the presenter said you should check the instructions on your sausages. Here you'll find how long you should cook them for, as this can vary.

They noted sausages usually cook 20% quicker in an air fryer, so it's important to bear this in mind. The key, according to the presenter, is to flip the sausages half way through the cooking process to ensure they turn out "juicy and golden".

If you don't eat meat, you can also cook vegetarian sausages in the same way. This means the tip is something that could really work for everyone.

Simply spray them with a little cooking spray and cook as instructed. You may have to work out your timings, but there is some general guidance offered too.

Generally, it's advised people cook them at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 15 minutes. Just make sure you turn them to ensure they cook through properly.

People have been delighted with the tip since it was shared, as over 1,000 social media users have viewed the video. They were quick to comment too, but some spotted one potential issue.

One said: "No oil, not needed. Best sausages ever in the air fyer." Another wrote: "Why did you spray them with oil? Cook better without."

A third replied: "Mine grills them perfectly, and you don't need oil." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Put them in an air fryer and turn it on."

If you don't have an air fryer, the secret to "perfect" sausages is also said to be in turning them frequently. Begin by cooking them on a low to medium heat, and let them sizzle for around 15 to 20 minutes.

Keep cooking them until they turn golden brown and the juices run clear. Make sure you keep turning them to cook them through and give them a nice, golden colour.
