Bob Dylan fans react to tour as music legend returns to stage | Music | Entertainment

Iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has thrilled fans by making his comeback on stage, leaving them all making the same comment.

At 83 years old, Dylan took to the stage for his first of over 50 planned shows across the US on March 25. This marks his fourth year touring his 2020 album, 'Rough and Rowdy Ways', playing nearly the full album alongside a selection of his classic hits.

However, those who experienced Dylan's tour last year – which concluded at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London – might notice something familiar about the setlist.

While Dylan occasionally includes cover songs and other tracks from his extensive discography, the opening night of his 2025 tour featured only the latest material.

Ahead of the tour's commencement, fans were bustling with curiosity about what the setlist would entail, prompting discussions on the r/BobDylan subreddit where members asked for any details from attendees.

One user asked: "What was the setlist?" To which one joked: "Same as the last tour."

Nevertheless, despite the unchanged setlist, followers remained ecstatic to bask in the experience of Dylan's live renditions of both his timeless masterpieces and modern hits.

The complete setlist for Dylan's premiere 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' performance of 2025 is provided below:.

The concert also received incredible accolades within the thread, where concert-goers praised the riveting 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' show. A spectator expressed: "The crowd was absolutely amazing.

"We were all crammed in the amazing 100 year old vaudeville theater and Bob was right at home. The lighting was amazing. Can barely see Bob, he's in the shadows and I think it leads to him playing his a** off and going for it.

"His piano and harmonica playing was on freaking point. For an 83-year-old man no less.

"Only complaint there was no encore. Think he gave so much on the first night in Tulsa, a great home of the Bob Dylan Center I think it was proven tonight, that he just didn't have any left in him despite the rapturous crowd never stopping cheering until the lights came on after five minutes or so.

"I'm ok with it though because he really laid it all out there in the two sets. Keep on Rollin, Bob. See you next time."

Though the fan hoped for an encore, Dylan has not performed any extra songs after end track, Every Grain of Sand. The setlist for the Rough and Rowdy Ways tour in 2025 has changed slightly from previous tours, notably the 2022 setlist.

Dylan has switched out songs like Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine, as well as Gotta Serve Somebody and Johnny Mercer cover That Old Black Magic.
