Gardener reveals the simple 30-second hack to ensure your lawn is even this spring

Having an uneven lawn can be really annoying, and with the weather getting a little better and the sun coming out more, many people want their gardens in top shape. But a bumpy lawn can put a real downer on that. Fortunately, gardening expert Bo Petterson shared a super easy trick to solve that problem, and it only takes about 30 seconds to do.

The expert shared his simple and trusty hack in a video posted on his TikTok account @dadadvicefrombo. To fill the low spots ruining your lawn, he said: "All you need is the right kind of soil and a two-by-four". Bo further explained that the soil you'll require is "two parts dirt and one part sand," showing his viewers the heap that he had in his wheelbarrow.

"That way, your grass will still grow through it, but it's easy to level out. Just be generous about filling in the hole and then pack it down as best as you can," he continues.

The expert then shows his viewers him stepping over the soil that he's placed over the uneven spot, pressing it down with his feet. For those worrying about regrowth, well, Bo highlights that grass seed isn't necessary as the grass will repair with the turf and grow right through.

He then grabbed his two-by-four - a piece of finished wood, and, starting in the middle, he levelled out the soil by dragging it in one direction to taper it out before switching sides and going in the opposite direction.

He ends the video by telling viewers, "that's all you gotta do" to easily level out your lawn. The video of the quick hack bagged 16.1 million views, with nearly 112,000 people saving it.

Many people filled the comments, thanking the expert and asking him further questions. One person commented: "I'm gonna need a whole lot [of] dirt for my yard. Just bought a house, and it's riddled with holes in the yard." to which he responded, "Start with a few spots and see how it goes."

Another person commented: "Dad, how did you know this is exactly the information I needed for this weekend? Thank you." to which Bo responded: "Because all our yards need it this weekend."
