Wheeler Dealers Mike Brewer issues urgent demand to all classic car owners

Wheeler Dealers presenter Mike Brewer has called for the help of classic car owners as part of a special request. The host of the classic car restoration series is asking for one of around 500 owners of previous Wheeler Dealers machines to get in touch.

Mike is looking for vehicles previously restored on the series to show off at an event at the British Motor Museum in May. Mike stressed there are believed to be anywhere between 400 and 500 models which have featured in all iterations of the show since its debut 20 years ago. Mike issued the call to action on social media site X as he gave an update to followers over the weekend.

Speaking on X, Mike said: “I do need to tell the audience something, I need some help. I've got this evening coming up.

"It's an Evening with Mike Brewer, May 12th at the Gaydon British Moor Museum. I cannot wait to do it. It’s hosted by Paul Cowland who will be asking all the questions.

"What we do need though is some cars to talk about, I've got the little Wheeler Dealers Mini we did in the last series, that nice little Paddy Hopkirk tribute car.

“But if there's anyone out there who's got or knows someone who's got a Wheeler Dealers car and they would like a free invite to come along.

“There’s a few of them out there. I think we've done about 400 or 500 cars. I’d like to get about three or four cars together so I've got something to talk about.”

Wheeler Dealers usually buy cheap second-hand models and dully restore them before selling on for a profit.

It means almost all cars which have ever featured in the series could still be on the roads and enjoyed by owners in their updated condition.

Mike has previously confirmed there are plans to start the latest series of Wheeler Dealers with a World Tour project also in the pipeline.

The series will see Mike and co-host Marc Priestley travel across Europe and Latin America restoring models after the success of last year’s edition.

He previously revealed he was working on a way to add shows in Czech Republic, Sweden and Germany into the series.

He commented: “Me and Elvis off around the world. We haven’t confirmed all the countries but more or less.

“Put it this way we’re coming down to Latin America, we’re going all across Europe and we’re touching the edge of Europe as well. I can’t wait, that's going to be good.”
