Churchill in Moscow livestream – Watch sold out WW2 Stalin play for limited time | Theatre | Entertainment

A month ago, Daily Express was lucky enough to attend opening night of Churchill in Moscow.

The new production takes place at the intimately sized Orange Tree Theatre in the round, so it’s no wonder it was sold out even before reviews, including ours, were published.

Nevertheless, there is a unique opportunity to stream the World War 2 play, which starts Roger Allam as Winston Churchill during his 1942 visit to Stalin, at home on demand.

Four performances from Tuesday to Friday this week are being filmed live and you can watch one of your choice any time between 7:30pm on March 11 and 11:59pm on March 14.

And if that wasn’t enough, the theatre asks that folks pay whatever they’re happy to give starting from just £15.

The play official synopsis reads: “The Kremlin, Moscow, 1942. A top-secret meeting between Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin: one, a wealthy aristocrat from a blue-blooded line of English nobility, the other a Georgian peasant, hell-bent on destroying capitalism and the class system. Can Churchill and Stalin find common ground? As diplomats struggle to control the escalating chaos, two interpreters find themselves caught in the eye of the storm. The world premiere of Howard Brenton’s gripping drama imagines the meeting of two unpredictable titans as history teeters on a knife-edge.”
