Emile Heskey aired by Mr Beast in brutally awkward Sidemen Charity Match moment | Football | Sport

He might be a former Liverpool hero and England football team international, but Emile Hesky was still left hanging by Mr Beast at Wembley. The former striker was alongside ex-Premier League referee Mark Clattenberg during the medal presentations after the Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars match on Saturday afternoon, which raised £4million for charity.

The match finished in a 9-9 draw after football YouTuber Theo Baker scored a late equaliser for the Allstars. In the subsequent penalty shootout, Sidemen star Miniminter had his effort saved by goalkeeper Sketch. It was Speed who then claimed glory with the next spot kick, and he celebrated by mimicking the ‘Siu’ celebration of his hero Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, while the latest edition of the annual clash produced some memorable on-field moments, there was also an amusing one afterwards. Amusing for everyone except Heskey, who was brutally snubbed by the YouTube star.

As he received his medal, Mr Beast, who has 32.3million followers on X and nearly 400m YouTube subscribers, handed Clattenberg some of his trademark Feastables chocolate. The official had earlier taken charge of the contest, amusingly having his yellow card shredded by Max Fosh.

Clattenberg gratefully accepted the offer, eating the treat as he put a winners’ medal around the player’s neck. Heskey smiled alongside him and offered a congratulatory handshake to Mr Beast, real name James Donaldson.

However, the American completely ignored the gesture. Instead, he turned and showed off his medal to the sold-out crowd before walking off and high-fiving his team-mates.

It wasn’t the only time that the 62-cap international was aired post-match. Just moments later, Indian YouTuber Carryminati had done likewise when he received his medal, potentially leaving Heskey to question his role in proceedings.

The 47-year-old was part of the charity panel for the match, which was streamed for free on the Sidemen's main YouTube channel. He worked alongside Eni Aluko and ex-England team-mate Jermain Defoe.
