Hospitalized Pope Francis sends audio message to faithful at St. Peter's Square

Nuns pray during the rosary prayer service.

Pope Francis on Thursday thanked well-wishers 'from the bottom of my heart' in his first audio message since being hospitalized for double pneumonia nearly three weeks ago. The brief message recorded by Francis from Rome's Gemelli hospital earlier in the day was played during a nightly prayer service for the 88-year-old pontiff in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.
