Samsung offers big reason to ditch your Galaxy Watch and try something better

Anyone addicted to their Galaxy Watch tech timepiece might want to go online shopping this weekend. Samsung has just announced a huge deal on its ultimate wearable that makes it far more affordable than before. During its launch last year, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra would have set you back a whopping £599. Luckily, that's now changed with the Korean technology brand slashing the cost by £100 to just £499. That feels like a much more reasonable price and is also £300 cheaper than its Apple Watch Ultra rival. For those not in the know, the Galaxy Watch Ultra comes packed with upgrades you won't find on its cheaper siblings.

Firstly, there's a rugged design that is made from titanium - Samsung says this is officially the "toughest Galaxy Watch ever" and it should mean it survives years strapped to your wrist.

That upgraded styling also offers better water resistance, along with coping with high altitudes and bigger changes in temperature. So, if you head up a mountain and things drop to -20 degrees the Ultra will keep on working.

Another addition to this device is the Quick Button, which takes you to favourite apps and other features via a simple tap. That means you can launch a workout or start a run without scrolling through endless menus on the big and bright display.

Other extras worth a mention include an in-built alarm should you get in trouble and find you need some help, a special night mode which turns the display black and red plus there is highly accurate GPS for pinpoint location accuracy.

This premium Galaxy Watch also gets some impressive battery stats with it capable of lasting for up to 100 hours before needing a refill.
