Speaking of PlayStation Store credit, it's also worth checking your email to see if Sony has sent free credit for a network issue on Christmas Eve.

As for the game itself, Split Fiction is a co-op adventure that can be played with a friend online, or with a buddy via split-screen multiplayer.

Similar to the studio's previous game It Takes Two, Split Fiction requires players to work together to navigate the game world, solve puzzles and overcome obstacles.

Split Fiction also features a unique combination of science fiction and fantasy stages and storytelling tropes.

You can see for yourself by checking out the story and gameplay trailer below.

While Split Fiction is a multiplayer-only experience, you only actually need one copy in order to play online with friends.

As long as one person owns the game, a friend can download and install the Friend's Pass on their platform of choice. After sending an invite to the person with the pass installed, both users can enjoy the game despite only owning one copy.

Other nice touches include Steam Deck functionality at launch, as well as Steam Native support, which means no EA App is necessary.

Elsewhere, the console versions run at a buttery 60 frames-per-second, and come with various accessibility features.
