Meghan Markle was praised by a PR expert for "staying in control" of her own narrative following her recent frequent posting on her social media.

The Duchess of Sussex launched her official Instagram account on New Year's Day and has been active on it ever since.

Following a brief hiatus after the Los Angeles wildfires, Meghan appears to be back on posting regular updates through a series of either videos or stories.

The latest update came on Tuesday when the duchess announced that she renamed her lifestyle brand to As Ever. Her business venture was previously thought to be called American Riviera Orchard.

Earlier this month, Meghan spoiled fans and royal watchers worldwide when she gave unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to her and Prince Harry's trip to Canada for the Invictus Games.

Now a PR specialist said that fans can expect Meghan to be increasingly more active on her socials, as she wants them to be her "main source of her narrative" instead of letting others do it for her.

Edward Coram James, CEO of British marketing agency Go Up, said the duchess has been "burned by the press too many times" so she will likely won't be leaving "anything to chance".

He explained: "She’s keeping the conversation moving, staying visible, and staying in control of the narrative.

"I’m sure her team is behind it, but I don’t think it’s an emotional reaction to the delay of 'With Love, Meghan'. It’s just good PR.

"She’s already been burned by the press too many times, so she’s not going to leave anything to chance.

"Expect her Instagram to be the main source of her narrative — if you want to hear from her, it won’t be through tabloids or royal experts, it’ll be through her posts, her own words, and carefully selected visuals."

Aside from announcing her new brand in her latest post, the duchess also launched a new website for it, which currently featured a picture of her with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, photographed from a distance, walking hand-in-hand across a sunny lawn with palm trees in the background.

Meghan wrote on her Instagram: "This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language, beautifully weaving together everything I cherish — food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday. "
