Luke Littler speaks out after angry reaction to Premier League loss | Other | Sport

Luke Littler has spoken out after a disappointing performance in Dublin on night three of this year's Premier League Darts.

The Nuke crashed out in his first match of the evening, losing 6-4 to eventual winner Gerwyn Price.

Littler had trailed Price 4-1 in legs at one point and despite a mini-resurgence, he was unable to repeat his heroics from last week against Rob Cross and mount a comeback.

But it was after the defeat that things started to turn sour for Littler, as he stormed off stage and was captured by the Sky Sports cameras appearing to throw his darts case down the stage stairs.

It was a rare - but also understandable - momentary outburst from the world champion, who had looked visibly frustrated with his performance throughout the evening match.

Taking to social media to react to his Dublin showing, the world No.2 told his 1.8million Instagram followers: "Not the way I wanted to follow up the win last week but loads more darts to play starting with Premier League and UK Open next week [strong arm and darts emoji] appreciate everyone who came out to support tonight [hands together emoji]."
