New iPhone SE 4 LIVE: Rumoured prices as Apple set to announce new launches today

After a long three-year wait, Apple’s affordable iPhone SE series may finally be making a return.

The tech giant is expected to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, also rumoured to be called the iPhone 16E, at a major event today, alongside potential surprises like upgraded AirTags and a HomePod with a built-in screen.

Speculations say the new iPhone SE will be Apple’s most budget-friendly smartphone yet, with an estimated price tag of around £500.

That would place it in direct competition with the Google Pixel 8A and Samsung Galaxy S24 FE while undercutting the standard iPhone 16 by roughly £300.

One of the most notable upgrades could be the design.

The SE 4 is rumoured to ditch the older, home-button style in favour of a modern look similar to the iPhone 14. A 6.1-inch OLED display is expected to replace the previous LCD screen, and Apple may finally introduce Face ID to its budget model.

The device is also likely to transition to USB-C charging, aligning with Apple’s recent move away from Lightning cables.
