People only just realising how Cadbury Flakes are really made

Whether you're a Cadbury Flake person or more of a Crunchie fan, this behind-the-scenes look at how the legendary Cadbury Flake is made is sure to surprise you.

Flakes are known for their particular shape and crumbly texture, but fans were shocked to see how they were made.

A TikTok video posted by Cadbury World shows people how the famous flake is made and already has 5.5 million views and 207.6K likes.

The video shows a chocolate spread over a flat surface, then someone simply scrapes the chocolate off the surface with a metal scraper which creates the flake shape.

The TikTok video was filmed in the Bourneville factory in Birmingham, where the famous chocolate is made.

Thousands of fans have shared how stunned they are in the comments after seeing the surprisingly simple and rapid technique of scraping the chocolate.

One TikTok user commented: "So simple yet so perfect."

Other comments included: "It's that simple??" and many users also commented: "That's how they're made?!"

In 2024, the company celebrated its 200 year anniversary.

Established in 1824 by John Cadbury in Birmingham, the company expanded globally, opening factories in Dublin and Kerry and introduced milk chocolate with Dairy Milk in 1897.

Cadbury sells about 350 million Dairy Milk bars annually, and nearly a million a day, according to UK Vending, a UK bending machine supplier.
