Prince Harry looks 'less assured' after Meghan Markle's Invictus Games exit | Royal | News

Prince Harry is set to make another solo appearance in Canada again today as The Invictus Games 2025 competition comes to an end.

As founder of The Invictus Games, Harry, 40, has been present at events since the opening ceremony of the games on February 8.

While his wife Meghan Markle, 43, originally flew to Canada with her husband for the competition, she surprised royal fans by leaving early on Tuesday to return to California to be with the couple’s children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Since then, Harry has reportedly seemed “less assured” as he has made a number of solo appearances without his wife by his side.

Speaking to The Mirror, body language expert Judi James said: "After being love-bombed by his wife for several days, Harry must have felt the chill of the icy Canadian slopes rather keenly as he emerged to work the Games alone here.”

She continued: "He seems to be a subtler presence without his wife, posing at the back of this group rather than showboating in the middle, almost looking low-key in his grey knitted cap.

"His chats look a little less upbeat here.

“His smile is still in place, but he looks a little less assured and up for playful fun.”

While the prince spent most of his life in the spotlight as a member of the Royal Family, this is something he has become less accustomed to over the last few years since he quit life as a senior royal in 2020.

As well as waving goodbye to royal duty, the duke also made the decision in 2020 to move to America, his wife’s home country, where they have lived in a sprawling Montecito mansion ever since.

The couple have continued their charitable work through their joint Archewell Foundation over the last few years, as well as completing various solo projects.

The Invictus Games competion closes today with an official closing ceremony.

Harry is set to fly home within the next few days to be reunited with his wife and two children.
