Meghan's Markle's true feelings on Princess Kate revealed by insider | Royal | News

An explosive new book reveals new insight into Meghan Markle’s time in the Royal household - and lifts the lid on what she really thought of Princess Kate.

Royal expert Tom Quinn’s new book, due to be published in February, describes Meghan’s time in the Royal Family.

A member of the Palace's communications team said: “Meghan thought Kate was just too eager to please, too much a goody-two-shoes girl.”

The book, named ‘Ma’am’, details how Kate and Meghan both took a different approach to Royal life, with the Princess of Wales more content with being told what to do, accepting that it came with the role.

Meghan however is portrayed as being less accepting of established customs, instead wanting to make her own mark whilst being less accepting of “backbiting” and criticism.

A former Kensington Palace staffer said: “In many ways it was just the same as the kind of backbiting gossipy criticism that Meghan had to put up with, but Kate is actually a much stronger person than Meghan in many ways.

“Some people thought it wasn’t strength but a sort of passivity – that was one of the bugbears between Meghan and Kate. Meghan wanted Kate to be feistier and make her own mark.

“But what Meghan saw as Kate being pushed around, Kate saw as an essential part of being a member of the royal family.”

It is one of a series of revelation including one where Meghan questions if Prince Harry and William are actually related.

One extract recounts how the Duchess quipped that the two brothers had different parents due to the stark differences in personality, with Harry labelled “spontaneous and chill” in comparison to a “serious” William.

Meghan Markle reportedly made jokes about Prince Harry “having different parents to William” insiders have claimed in the explosive Royal book with a staffer describing Meghan saying: “Why do William and Charles sound so serious all the time?

They added: “She used to make jokes about Harry not having the same parents as William, claiming, “Harry isn’t pompous at all. He’s chill.”

In researching the book, Quinn claims to have spoken to palace staff who detail the origins of the nickname “Difficult Duchess,” something she has since found difficult to shake off.

One former employee describes how Meghan had a “Messiah complex” in her approach to life in the Royal Family.

They said: “I don’t mean that in a critical way because all her big ideas were about doing good.

“She once said, "What Diana started I want to finish," and we took that to mean she wanted to become a sort of globetrotting champion of the poor and the marginalised,' the ex-staffer continued, referring to Meghan's late mother-in-law, the Princess of Wales.”
