Prince Harry has been put on alert with a stern warning that he should be "very worried" as he is "far from off-the-hook" regarding his standing with Donald Trump, despite the former president previously assuring that the Duke wouldn't face deportation from the USA.

Just last week, Trump proclaimed he had no intention of expelling Prince Harry amid disputes over the Duke's American visa linked to his past drug use, which he admitted in a memoir, Spare.

Earlier in the month, it was suggested by a judge that there might be a willingness to unseal certain documents associated with Harry's US visa application.

New court records indicate that an official date, next Thursday (February 20), has been scheduled for the US authorities to declare which specific legal papers pertaining to the case may be unveiled.

The ongoing legal battle was initiated by the conservative Washington DC think tank, The Heritage Foundation, raising questions about why Prince Harry was granted entry into the States in 2020 despite his own admissions within Spare of past cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushroom use.

The organisation has debated whether the Duke was unjustly favoured by the Biden administration or if he misrepresented himself on immigration paperwork.

Penalties for such falsifications can range from incarceration to fines or even forced removal from the country.

Furthermore, according to the Mail On Sunday's account, Trump has not ruled out pursuing trial against Harry should the latter be found guilty of lying about his drug consumption, with sources affirming that Trump has made a "vowed transparency" commitment.

An insider revealed: "President Trump has said he won't deport Harry but there is no doubt he would support a prosecution."

They further hinted that Harry isn't exactly in Trump's good books, stating: "The word in Washington is he should be very worried indeed. There is no love lost between the Sussexes and President Trump."

Just last week, while dismissing the idea of deporting Harry, Trump couldn't resist taking a swipe at Meghan, saying: "I'll leave him alone. He's got enough problems with his wife. She's terrible."

In response, Harry seemed to retaliate during an Invictus Games speech, criticising the "weak moral character in the world," as per the Mirror.

In 2016, Meghan labelled Trump as "misogynistic and divisive". Fast forward to the 2020 US election campaign between Trump and Joe Biden, the Sussexes appeared in a video urging Americans to "vote against hate speech".

Although they didn't name anyone explicitly, their comments were widely interpreted as a dig at Trump and an endorsement of Biden. Some even suggested it violated the Sandringham Summit agreement, drafted when the couple stepped back from Royal duties in 2020.

Trump later expressed his disapproval of Meghan, declaring he was "no fan" of hers.

The lawsuit against the Department for Homeland Security (DHS) was initially filed by The Heritage Foundation after their Freedom of Information Act request to view Harry's visa application was denied.

The think tank argued that it was a matter of "immense public interest".

The Heritage Foundation has launched a legal challenge claiming that US law "generally renders such a person inadmissible for entry" into the country.

The conservative think tank asserts that any admissions regarding the duke's prior drug use should have been revealed on his visa application, warning that failure to disclose such information could cast doubt over the integrity of the US government.
