Meghan Markle addresses leaving Invictus Games early in new post | Royal | News![]() Meghan Markle has addressed her early exit from the Invictus Games in Canada with a new post on her Instagram. The Duchess of Sussex joined Prince Harry earlier this week in Whistler for the 2025 games, but has since flew back to California to be with her children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. Prince Harry remains there as the tournament is to end on Sunday. The pre-planned arrangement ensured Meghan could be with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while Harry could remain at the event he co-founded. In a new story on the social platform this evening, Meghan posted a picture of an array of Invictus themed sweet treats with the caption: "A taste of Canada and the Invictus Games for our little ones! "Cheering you on from home!" Meghan and Harry travelled to Canada last Friday, ready for the seventh annual tournament to begin on February 8. Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, were given their own jerseys to wear back at home, which they gratefully accepted after a wheelchair basketball event between the United States vs. Nigeria - as well as tops for Archie and Lilibet. Nigerian team manager Derrick Cobbinah told PEOPLE: "We did one for him and one for M and for the kids." Speaking of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, he added: "They said they would be excited to have them. "She was very, very excited." Although speculation grew prior to their travel that their children may make an appearance, Meghan appeared to confirm that Archie and Lilibet had remained in California shortly after they arrived. During a impromptu appearance on stage last week, Meghan told the crowd: "...What you won't have seen is all of the moments that have happened in the lead-up to these Games, all of the moments where, as you know, with families, the big rush in the morning - getting ready for school, packing the lunch boxes, making breakfast. "My husband's in all of that with us, and then he'll be on his phone, and Archie will say: 'Papa, why are you on your phone?' "And he's like: 'That's Invictus. I'm getting ready for Invictus.'..."
