Gamers are only just realising 'freaky' thing Sims can do | Gaming | Entertainment

Fans of The Sims are still discovering weird quirks in the game.

The Sims, a hugely popular life simulation video game series, is celebrating its 25th birthday this month, as the very first Sims game was released back on February 4th, 2000. The franchise has sold more than 200 million copies worldwide across all four of the main Sims games, cementing it as one of the best-selling video game series of all time.

But even though fans have had two and a half decades to scour the games for secrets, some hidden aspects of the franchise are only now being uncovered.

In fact, fans were left gobsmacked when a video went viral sharing one "freaky" thing that the characters you create can do in the games. And it's all to do with the weird and wonderful places where Sims can "WooHoo" - or have sex.

If you've ever played a Sims game, you'll be aware that your characters can try to make a baby in the strangest of locations, including in a closet, in the shower, and even in a bush. But that's not even the weirdest part.

Seasoned Sims players will also be aware that in The Sims 4, you can make your sims "WooHoo" inside a rocket ship that takes off into space as the two characters are getting it on.

But in a viral TikTok video, it's been claimed that when you trigger this scene, there's something "freaky" that other Sims in your world can do. They can actually "listen" to the steamy event on the computer!

The video, shared by Sim Plays Sims, said: "Random fact about The Sims that I bet you didn't know: if your Sims WooHoo in a rocket ship, other Sims can listen on the computer?"

The video showed gameplay of The Sims 4, in which the player clicks on the computer and an option to "listen to space WooHoo" can be seen. Clicking it allows the active Sim to sit at the computer and pull up a video of the rocket flying through space while love hearts fill the screen.

Commenters on the video were both horrified and intrigued by the bizarre fact, with many saying they had no idea that it was a feature within the game - despite playing it for years.

One person said: "About 10 years of playing The Sims 4 ... I didn't know that." Another added: "Oh, Sims are freaky freaky."

Someone else questioned why the developers would add this feature instead of something more useful. They said: "Now why would I need this when we could've had CARS?! But thanks for the info."
