David Beckham holds 'major grudge' against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle | Royal | News

David Beckham is "still holding a major grudge" against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and will not let his wife, Victoria Beckham, mend the rift, according to sources.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship with the Beckhams has reportedly become frosty following an incident in 2018.

Harry and Meghan appeared to be close to David and Victoria during the early days of their relationship, with the Beckhams even attending their lavish wedding in 2018.

But it appears their relationship turned sour since then, with both couples reportedly not speaking to each other over leaks to the press made before the wedding.

Author Tom Bower alleged in his book, House of Beckham, that Meghan was furious after an article about her "growing friendship" with Victoria was published by The Sun.

The report claimed: "And their [Meghan and Victoria's] love of pricey facials and glamorous blow-dries has become the foundation for a growing friendship."

The book claimed that "in the end, the blame landed on a beautician".

Now, US magazine In Touch Weekly cited sources that claimed the Beckhams will unlikely mend their rift with the Sussexes, despite Victoria being more "forgiving," because David, as well as his sons, think "there is no way back."

The source told the outlet: "Victoria has actually been much more forgiving than people realise, she was really hurt by the accusations that she was spreading gossip since that’s the last thing she would ever do.

"But with time, she’s mellowed about the whole, especially since Meghan has been reaching out to mend things. The problem is David and her boys are still holding a major grudge."

The insider added that the ex-England captain is being "protective" of his wife and does not think she should give Meghan or Harry "another change".

They alleged: "They’re just so offended and angry on her behalf and think she’s being way too nice about it all.

"As far as they’re concerned, there is no going back."

The source claimed the ex-footballer is a "royalist" who won't be "disloyal" to the Prince and Princess of Wales - whom they have a good relationship with - by "welcoming Harry and Meghan back".
