Prince Andrew reported to police in latest public scandal | Royal | News

Prince Andrew has been caught up in another public scandal as he has been reported to the police.

The 64-year-old royal has been accused of using the fake name of 'Andrew Inverness' when he set up business Naples Gold Limited with sports retail tycoon Johan Eliasch in 2002.

Now, Graham Smith, who is the chief executive of Republic, has submitted a complaint to Scotland Yard to accuse Andrew of using false information in documents filed to Companies House.

The accusation is currently being reviewed before any further action is taken.

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew has used the same name for four companies registered at Companies House.

Speaking of Andrew, Mr Smith recently told The Telegraph that he "must be held to the highest standards" and that members of the Royal Family "appear to believe they can act with impunity".

He added: "The apparent filing of false information with Companies House may seem trivial, but the UK faces serious issues of fraud committed in this way.

"While no such fraud is alleged here, surely Andrew must be held to the highest standards."

This comes as, on Sunday, it emered that Andrew had been forced to shut down his private investment firm Urramoor Limited.

Documents filed with Companies House on Friday, January 3 confirm that Urramoor has applied to be struck off and dissolved.

This news also comes just over a one year after the company was bailed out when, in December 2023, it secured £210,000 in funding through non-redeemable shares.

At the time, it was reported that Andrew was said to have "significant control" over Urramoor, which was incorporated in 2013 with Andrew listed as HRH Andrew Inverness.
