Denied Alexis Mac Allister with a fine stop in the first half but couldn't do anything to stop Gakpo's rocket of an equaliser. Should've saved Salah's spot-kick.

Matthijs de Ligt: 3

He was too keen to tackle Gakpo, who took his sledging in the snow before curling home the leveller, and then questionably raised his arm to gift wrap Salah a penalty.

Harry Maguire: 7

Booked by Michael Oliver for winning the ball against Salah with another great tackle. Should've won it at the death but blazed his effort over. Joshua Zirkzee may have been offside.

Lisandro Martinez: 8

Opened the scoring with a stunning finish that will live long in this fixture's memory. Roused the away end with trademark crunching tackles. He's had a poor season but saved one of his best displays for Liverpool.

Noussair Mazraoui: 6

Consistently won his duels and completed his dribbles, but United found the most joy on the opposite side.

Manuel Ugarte: 8

You'd struggle to remember the last time he had a bad game. INEOS' first summer of recruitment produced mixed results, to say the least. But Ugarte looks like a fine capture.

Kobbie Mainoo: 8

Helped Ugarte compete with Liverpool's relentlessly energetic midfield. He's finally rediscovering his exciting best after a tricky, injury-affected season so far.

Diogo Dalot: 7

Ran Trent Alexander-Arnold ragged and should've had an assist when Amad failed to head United into the lead from a pinpoint first-half cross.

Amad: 7

Should've scored from his free header in the first half but came up with his latest big-game moment to salvage a well-deserved point.

Bruno Fernandes: 9

A true captain's performance. United dearly missed him during his one-match suspension. He created three chances, completed both attempted dribbles, won all 10 of his duels and did incredibly well to set up Martinez's opening strike.

Rasmus Hojlund: 4

Had to score his one-on-one opportunity against Alisson in the first half. The looming reservations about whether he's capable of being United's first-choice striker are fair.

Would've been disappointed not to start for the seventh consecutive game but responded well off the bench. Set up Amad's equaliser with a smart pass.
