Prince William and Princess Kate share family photos with New Year message | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Kate have spread festive cheer with a series of endearing photos, extending New Year wishes to the nation after grappling with the challenges of 2024.

The couple's official Instagram page was alight with delightful snaps from the past year, capturing moments such as the family's joyful times in a meadow and their presence on Buckingham Palace's balcony, standing alongside the King.

The adversity faced by the family became public when Kate's cancer diagnosis was announced in March.

Touchingly included in the photo selection was her first Royal Family duty following treatment, where she joined William meeting the resilient survivors of the horrifying Southport stabbings.

Also featured was a shot from the Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, an event particularly dear to Kate, which took place earlier this month.

Signifying the turn over to 2025, the Instagram post enthused: "Happy New Year! Wishing you all a wonderful 2025."

Despite the hardships endured during 2024, the array of photographs signalled some joyous highlights of their year, like the selfie with pop icon Taylor Swift taken by William, Charlotte, and George at Wembley Stadium.

An additional heart-warming snapshot from January showed Prince William with rugby league legends Kevin Sinfield and Rob Burrow, including time with the Burrow family, known for their MND advocacy.

Today's upload has since garnered attention and warm remarks from the Royal Familys avid followers on social media.

One fan commented: "Wishing a very happy and healthy New Year to my favourite little family.

"I truly hope 2025 will be a much better year and that our Princess will continue to get stronger and healthier everyday. I love you guys so much and I'm so ready to keep supporting you in 2025."

Another chimed in: "Wishing you a very happy healthy, happy and brilliant New Year. 2024 was a tough year but you stayed strong and I hope 2025 will be very positive for you."

The past year, described by Prince William as "brutal", has seen the future monarch juggle his Royal commitments with family life.

Despite the challenges, he has made it abundantly clear that his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are his utmost priority.
