Ricky Evans jokingly turned on fans at Alexandra Palace last night after he stunned No. 6 seed David Chisnall to progress to the third round.

The 34-year-old clinched victory after a final set shootout to set up a showdown with Robert Owen on Sunday evening.

During a hilarious post-match interview with Sky Sports, the star mimicked Shaun Williamson by breaking into song after the former Eastenders star had appeared on the stage.

And turning his attention to the crowd, he teased: “I don’t get this b***** treatment in my household. Why are they cheering me on? I don’t understand it. ‘Ricky Evans, Ricky Evans.’ I kept telling them, ‘Shut up, shut up, I’m trying to win a game here.’”

Evans then ended the interview by shouting towards the crowd: “Merry Christmas, you weirdos.” And he then placed a red flannel on his head.
