Morrisons announces change that affects Christmas shoppersFrom Thursday, December 19, Morrisons is reducing the price of Christmas trimmings to as little as 10p. More Card customers will be able to pick up 1kg of carrots, 500g of parsnips, and 500g of Brussels sprouts for just 10p each, as well as swede. This limited offer will only run from December 19 to 24, and is only available to people who sign up to Morrisons More Card. Fraser Lovatt, Category Director of Produce & Horticulture at Morrisons, said: "No Christmas dinner is complete without all the trimmings of the seasonal vegetables. "By cutting the costs of products like carrots, parsnips, sprouts and potatoes, we are helping customers get all they need for the perfect festive roast without breaking the bank. "Selling more of these products also stops them from going to waste and enables us to give more back to our important network of British farmers." Morrisons price drop
These prices beat competitor Lidl who have recently announced Christmas vegetables, such as carrots and Brussels sprouts, are going down to 15p. However, Lidl customers won't need to sign up to a loyalty card to access the cheaper deals. While the Christmas trimmings at Morrisons undercut rival Lidl by 5p, where would you be better off buying the spuds? At Morrisons, 2kg of potatoes are £1.15 while 2kg of potatoes at Lidl is just 15p from Thursday. Morrisons is also slashing the cost of other festive favourites, such as 50 percent off on Market Street Whole Salmon – going down from £15/kg to £7.50/kg. This festive favourite, however, will still be on offer until January 5 in stores nationwide. Source link Posted: 2024-12-19 02:02:20 |
