Prince William's 'nightmare' dinner habit that drives Princess Kate mad | Royal | NewsPrince William and Princess Kate have been in each other’s lives for over two decades now after meeting at St Andrew’s University in 2001 and later marrying in 2011. While the couple give very little away about their life behind closed doors, Princess Kate did once reveal one of her husband’s “nightmare” dinner habits at a public engagement. When visiting an RAF base in Cyprus in 2018, William and Kate opened a new recreation facility, which included lovely new sofas. William jokingly warned the recruits to "keep the pizza off the sofas", leading to Kate revealing her pet peeve when it comes to her husband. She was heard to reply to the prince, saying: “You're a nightmare with that." As well as having to keep an eye on her husband when it comes to eating pizza on the sofa, it appears the couple’s three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, are also fans of Italian cuisine. She once told Mary Berry: "I really enjoy it. Actually one of the last things we cooked, together, was your pizza dough. “We made pizzas with your pizza dough recipe...They absolutely loved it." The princess also once revealed that she is a fan of eating pizza herself, preferring to have bacon as a topping rather than pepperoni. In 2019, the Princess of Wales joined a group of children in a pizza-making session at Islington's Community Garden when she made the revelation. She could be heard saying: “Does anyone ever put bacon on a pizza? Bacon’s great. "Do you not think that sounds good? I quite like that actually…It’s like having pepperoni but it’s not as spicy." While not much is known about the other royals’ pizza preferences, Prince George is definitely a fan of the cuisine after he was spotted eating pizza during a cricket game, with his dad Prince William beside him, last year.
