Unbelievable Currys Black Friday gaming deal lets you live out ultimate fantasy | Gaming | Entertainment

The thing I love most about virtual reality is that when done right, it really makes you feel like part of the game world.

Batman Arkham Shadow makes you feel like a real superhero, Creed Rise to Glory transforms you into a heavyweight boxer, and Resident Evil 4 puts you in the centre of a terrifying outbreak.

But undoubtedly the best, most immersive and thrilling virtual reality game I've ever played is Gran Turismo 7 on PSVR 2.

It's a great game without a PSVR 2 headset, but even better when you're drawn into the high-speed action courtesy of Sony's premium virtual reality headset.

If you've ever fantasised about being a professional race car driver and dreamed of being the next Lewis Hamilton, then Gran Turismo 7 on PSVR 2 really does let you live out your fantasy.

It's even better when you hook up a steering wheel to your PS5, complete with pedals and gear shifter.

Thanks to some unbelievable Black Friday deals at Currys this week, you can save hundreds of pounds on the ultimate driving experience.

For a limited time only, Currys is selling the PlayStation VR 2 headset for just £339 as part of its Black Friday 2024 sale.

With a recommended retail price of £529.99, that's a saving of nearly £200, making it one of the biggest and best gaming deals you'll find in the 2024 sales.

Furthermore, you can pick up a copy of PS5 game Gran Turismo for £34.99, which is £25 cheaper than its regular £59.99 price tag.

Finally, customers can save a whopping £130 on the LOGITECH G923 Racing Wheel, Pedals & Driving Force Shifter, which is reduced to £249.

If you were to purchase all three items for the ultimate racing experience, then you'd save around £345.

As a reminder, you need a PS5 console in order to use your PSVR 2 headset. Fortunately, they're also reduced in price for Black Friday.

The PS5 Slim with disc-drive is currently available for £400, which is down from the regular £479 price tag.

Gran Turismo 7 features around 400 cars and nearly 40 tracks, including real-world locations such as Suzuka Circuit and Red Bull Ring.

That's on top of iconic courses including Nürburgring, Goodwood, Daytona International Speedway and Brands Hatch.

There are also some stunning fictional courses, such as Deep Forest Raceway, Colorado Springs, Trial Mountain and Alsace in France.

Gran Turismo 7 also brings back the legendary GT Simulation Mode, which lets you buy, tune, race and sell your way through a solo campaign as you unlock new cars and challenges.
