The actual biggest new game of 2024 is soaring its way to Xbox Game Pass this month | Gaming | Entertainment

November is shaping up to be a pretty spectacular month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as Microsoft gets ready to release what is quite literally the biggest game of the year.

Arguably slipping under the radar unless you've been paying close attention, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is about to make its debut on Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Better yet, the brand new flight simulator is also a day-one release for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Sony will have to pull something pretty special out of the bag with the November PS Plus Extra games to better this one.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has a November 19 release date, and is already available to pre-load for pre-order customers. This means you can jump into the action the moment the game goes live.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 feature a host of new activities, letting players test their skills at Aerial Firefighting, Search and Rescue and Medevac.

That's on top of the new Challenge League mode, which sees players compete against each other for bragging rights.

Other multiplayer activities include Rally Races, Precision Landing competitions and Low-Altitude challenges. You'll even be able to compete in Red Bull and Reno Air Races.

Needless to say, the game also features dozens of different aircraft and hundreds of airports, as well as stunning recreations of real-world locations.

It's an absolutely massive game with some of the best graphics I've ever seen, something that's even more evident with the new ability to land anywhere and exit your aircraft.

According to Microsoft, players will be able to explore 27 "highly detailed biomes with hundreds of species of vegetation".

Check out the trailer below for a closer look at Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 ahead of its November 19 launch.

Outside of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have been treated to a number of new releases in November, including strategy game Metal Slug Tactics.

Unlike the run and gun action of the classic Metal Slug games, Tactics features a turn-based combat system that's reminiscent of games like Advance Wars.

Other recent additions worth checking out include Harold Halibut, which is a narrative adventure game featured handcrafted visuals.

The stop motion visuals complement the game's unique setting and slightly oddball sense of humour. It's definitely worth checking out.

Finally, fans of the bizarre Goat Simulator series can see where it all began by checking out Goat Simulator Remastered, which is out now on Game Pass.
