Boomer baby names running the risk of extinction in 2025 Baby name consultant Colleen Slagen warned some names associated with boomers "are at risk of becoming extinct". Looking back at the baby name records of 2024, consultant Colleen has identified five names popular with the boomer generation that are no longer popular. Instead, the 20 baby names rising in popularity include the likes of Lottie, Casey and Rocky. "A few of the trends I’m seeing right now that I expect to see more of in 2025 are short and effortless names for both boys and girls," said Colleen who paired up with mother and baby retailer JoJo Maman Bébé.
