B&M is selling £5 box with rare chocolates not usually found in the UK

B&M shoppers are left divided after a £5 Aussie Treat Box hits the shelves, promising a taste of Australia ahead of Christmas.

Amongst selection boxes and festive favourites, this unique offering includes five uncommon chocolate bars typically not stocked in UK shops.

The pack features a Milky Top Freddo, adding a twist to the classic frog-shaped chocolate, and a Caramilk infused Twirl. Completing the set are Cadbury's Milk Chocolate Drops, Peanut Brownie Snickers, and Scorched Peanut Bar.

Although the packaging alludes to an abundance of chocolate, customers are quick to note that there is only a single bar of each treat inside. At £1 per chocolate, some have branded the box as poor value.

Blogger NewfoodsUK took to social media to reveal the find, where it sparked quite a conversation among hundreds of Facebook users.

Reactions were mixed, with one Australian expat criticising the selection: "Being an Australian here in the UK, there's a lot better iconic Aussie sweet treats than these. Not a good selection at all!"

Another disgruntled shopper remarked on the misleading appearance of the packaging: "Got these last year."There is only one of everything - not two which the box makes it look like," reports the Mirror.

Suggestions for improving the assortment were rife amongst the comments, with one enthusiast recommending additional favourites like Tim Tams, Violet Crumble, and Cherry Ripe to truly round up the Aussie experience.

Another queried: "Missing Cherry Ripe and Chokito!" while a different user lamented the absence of an iconic treat: "How are they going to theme this around Australia and not add timtams?"

Nonetheless, some shoppers expressed their eagerness to sample the assortment, with one remarking: "Let's go! Need to try these!"

Another fondly recalled: "I loved all of these when I went to oz. Some good memories!".

Occasionally, 'rare' imported chocolates make an appearance on B&M shelves. Recently, white chocolate Dream bars, which were discounted in the UK due to 'lack of popularity', yet still produced in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, were spotted by shoppers.

Other previously discovered items include unique takes on the classic Freddo, featuring strawberry and vanilla flavours.

Customers also eagerly purchase the distinctive Cadbury varieties that come from abroad, such as Neapolitan, Top Deck, and Peppermint.

To locate your nearest B&M store, simply use the shop locator tool available online; it provides details on the closest branches and the distance to others.
